About this piece
Made in the 1950s, this clear cut-crystal decorative basket has a deep oval bowl, broad arched handle and scalloped, notched rim. Radiating pinwheels and fans alternate with crosshatched diamond panels and deep diagonal cuts. A large radial star decorates the underside. Geometric decoration continues across the broad handle. The crystal appears thick, with polished facets in a traditional brilliant-cut style. No readable maker’s signature or label is visible; maker and origin remain unidentified. Lead content has not been established. Width: 6 Length: 4 Height: 6
