About this piece
Tall glazed pottery pitcher with a cream-speckled surface, cylindrical body and pinched pouring spout. A large curved strap handle rises above the rim, finished with an oval thumb rest bearing a blue heart. The country-style decoration shows a blue-roofed house, hearts and green trees above a blue checkerboard border. The reverse is undecorated apart from the speckled glaze. Light discoloration and scuffing are visible on the foot ring; no maker's mark is visible on the photographed base.
