About this piece
Black-and-white toile, on terra cotta. Creative Co-Op terra cotta vase (model DF4062A) in a white crackle glaze with a black and gray floral vine pattern all the way around — a toile de Jouy look in a ginger-jar shape, short rolled rim, unglazed terra cotta base with the maker's label and three felt pads. Made in China for Creative Co-Op of Memphis, TN; labeled for decorative use only (dried or faux stems, or as-is). Condition notes (please see photos): there are spots of discoloration in the glaze — soft brownish patches on the body and around the rim — plus fine crackling throughout, which is part of this finish. No chips or cracks found. Priced with the discoloration in mind. Measures about 6" tall x 4" wide (maker's label: 5-3/4" H). A little French country for a shelf, mantel, or table — the black-and-white pattern goes with everything. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
