About this piece
Large hammered brass vase with a rope-and-tassel neck. Big ovoid body in hand-hammered brass, flared ruffled rim, and a twisted rope detail tied around the neck with ball drops. Warm aged patina throughout. Unmarked; made in the Indian (Moradabad) brass tradition. Condition: Very good. Light surface marks and patina consistent with age; no dents of note. (Flowers not included.) Measures 11.25" tall x 6" wide x 6" deep. Made for a big bouquet — mums and dahlias sit beautifully in it, as shown — and handsome empty on a mantel or entry table. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
