About this piece
Original oil painting on canvas in a frame that steals the show. The painting: a mid-century landscape — a dirt path winding past a great tree to a red-roofed cottage on a still lake, mountains behind, turquoise sky. Oil on stretched canvas, unsigned. The frame: rustic chip-carved wood in the tramp-art style, hand-notched edges, dark-and-gold finish, deep and chunky — the kind of frame people buy empty. Condition: Painting very good — bright, no tears or paint loss noted; canvas back aged and toned as expected. Frame excellent and solid. Frame measures 19" W x 27" L x 2.5" deep. Cabin, lodge, lake house, or any room that wants a window onto somewhere quieter. Ready to hang. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
