About this piece
A shallow earthenware dish with overlapping leaves modeled in pronounced relief, finished in glossy turquoise, olive-green and burgundy-pink glazes. The softly scalloped rim follows the foliage, while a low circular foot supports the dish. Display on a stand or as part of a plate wall. The pale turquoise underside bears an impressed V, a small painted mark resembling 2 and an indistinct circular impression. A Pembroke Antiques paper dealer label remains attached; it is not a manufacturer's mark. Maker and date are unconfirmed. Extensive rim and foot chipping exposes the buff ceramic body; glaze crazing is also visible. Three kiln-support scars appear on the underside. Diameter: 7.5 Height: 1
