About this piece
Original oil still life — six golden pears out of the dark. Oil on panel: a row of ripe pears in gold, russet, and pale green on a stone ledge, deep brown-black ground, loose impressionistic brushwork with the paint's texture left alive. Signed lower right (reads "K. Bello"; artist unidentified). Framed in dark wood with a gilt beaded inner edge; papered back with a sawtooth hanger. Condition: Very good. Paint surface bright and intact. Ready to hang. Frame measures 15" W x 13" L x 1" deep. Kitchens, dining rooms, and dark-academia walls were invented for exactly this. Small, rich, and warm — it reads like a much older painting. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
