About this piece
A flat rectangular Beam whiskey decanter with a green finish, stepped shoulders and matching rounded stopper. J. Lockhart’s Gray Fox illustration sits within a gold-colored frame, combining wildlife imagery with a compact architectural bottle form. The front label reads “Kentucky Whiskey—A Blend,” “80 Proof” and “750ml,” and names James B. Beam Distilling Co. of Clermont / Beam, Kentucky. The reverse carries Lockhart’s printed signature and identifies Gray Fox, White-Tailed Deer and Cardinal as the three subjects in the series. Surface scuffs, small losses to the green finish and torn paper seal remnants are visible.
