About this piece
A round Woodbury Pewter serving bowl with a polished body, two open shell-and-scroll handles, and a domed lid topped by a fluted shell-shaped finial. The plain bowl contrasts with the sculptural detail of the handles and lid ornament. The underside bears the Woodbury Pewterers eagle mark. An accompanying maker’s card states that the pewter was handcrafted in Woodbury, Connecticut, USA. Surface scratches are visible on the lid and body, with scuffing to the underside.
