About this piece
Small figural table lamp with a seated ceramic spaniel base, decorated with cobalt-blue ears and feathered patches against a glossy cream ground. Pink facial details and gold-colored collar and accents complement the natural woven burlap shade. The tapered, lined shade has bound edges and a wire bulb-clip fitting. The socket rises from the dog's head, and the rear-exiting cord has an inline switch. Fine glaze crazing and underside scuffs are visible; no readable maker's mark is shown. Electrical operation is not established by the photographs. The design recalls Victorian Staffordshire spaniels, but this lamp is not authenticated as a Victorian piece.
