About this piece
Blue-and-white porcelain bowl with a wide flaring mouth, plain white interior and raised cobalt-blue ring foot. The exterior depicts boys playing among pine trees, ornamental rocks and butterflies, beneath a repeating ruyi-head border. A glossy clear glaze covers the bowl, while the recessed underside ends in an exposed, unglazed foot rim. No maker’s mark is visible. The Chinese-inspired decoration does not establish its country of manufacture or date; neither is confirmed by the supplied pages. Diameter: 5 Height: 2.5
