About this piece
A brass boat-shaped pedestal centerpiece with upswept pointed ends and lion-mask drop-ring handles. Heart cutouts and notched semicircular cutouts sit above beaded borders, while elongated flutes radiate across the bowl. A hollow, flared pedestal meets an oval spreading foot with beaded edging. The worn golden-brown surface has dark tarnish, scattered scratches and small areas of green oxidation. The formed sheet-metal bowl has a rolled rim and separately attached handle mounts.
