About this piece
6 round silver-tone drinks coasters with dense foliate scrollwork surrounding blank, scalloped central cartouches. Slightly raised rims frame the engraved-style decoration, repeated on the matching circular holder with 3 ball-topped retaining posts. The coasters and holder have dark, lattice-textured underside inserts that appear to be leatherette or another protective synthetic material. The metal has uneven tarnishing and surface scratches. Silver plating and base-metal composition are unconfirmed. No readable maker’s marks are visible; the maker and date remain unidentified. Diameter: 5 Height: 1.5
